Baby naming ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a non-religious celebration that is appropriate for anyone, at any age. The arrival of a newborn baby, uniting of step or adopted children within a family. Even adults can have naming ceremonies to celebrate the changing of a first, middle or last name. Whatever your reason; I am here to help you have the ceremony that you and your family deserve.

Parents may wish to choose to have a naming ceremony rather than a religious ceremony due to their own beliefs and many religious aspects can be replicated such as naming of god parents and the inclusion of poems, readings, and quotes of personal significance can be used throughout the ceremony.

Often a symbolic gesture is also made, such as the lighting of a candle or the planting of a tree. In addition, certificates are presented to parents and other special people as a record of the occasion.

Although the celebration and certificates given at a naming ceremony do not have any legal status, it does not make it any less of a special moment for all in attendance as we all celebrate the new beginnings in your life.

It is important to note that having a naming ceremony for your child or yourself will not prevent them or you in participating in a religious ceremony later in life.
